The Newfoundland Regiment have completed their first trade since taking over from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, adding 2006-born forward Dominic Pilotte from the Rimouski Océanic in exchange for a fourth (Moncton), and two sevenths (Drummondville, Rimouski).
Pilotte, 19, has amassed 35 points (13+22) through 63 games with the Océanic this season, and scored 11 points (3+8) through 23 games in the playoffs.
Having played in more of a depth role with the 2025 Memorial Cup hosts and seeing his production regress slightly, one can imagine that Pilotte is primed for a breakout season.

The former Océanic third round pick in 2022 has amassed 77 points (34+43) through 131 games in his QMJHL career, all with Rimouski.
