James Scantlebury had six points, Nikita Ovcharov had four and Maddox Dagenais had a hat trick in a 7-6 win.

Thanksgiving Sunday saw just two QMJHL on the docket, but they were both pretty high-scoring affairs.

The fans in Quebec City got a great show, as their Remparts dazzled in a big victory over Chicoutimi.

There was no waiting around for the goals to come in this one, as the Sags came in quickly with a Louis-Felix Gagnon goal just 34 seconds into the game.

The Remparts would respond quickly, though, with James Scantlebury and Nikita Ovcharov giving the hosts their first lead of the night.

Chicoutimi would soon equalize again through Darcy Terglav, and the teams traded goals to end the period with Scantlebury doubling down, Mathis Dufour levelling it again, and finally Maddox Dagenais capping off a wild opening frame with Quebec leading 4-3 heading into the intermission.

The first multi-goal lead of the night came in the second, as Alexander Taillefer continued his excellent start to the season to extend the score to 5-3. Nathan Lecompte would get one back for the Saguenéens, but two Dagenais power-play goals just 24 seconds apart put the game to 7-4, and completed the hat trick for the St. Louis Blues top prospect.

It would seem like entering the third, with a three-goal lead and generally dominating play, things would go swimmingly for Quebec, but they were on their heels the entire third period.

Christophe Berthelot would score 59 seconds into the final frame, and would put another one in with about 3:30 to go. The shots in the third ended up as 13-2 in favour of Chicoutimi, but they couldn't find that seventh goal, and Quebec walked away with a 7-6 win.

Dagenais had a hat trick, Scantlebury had four assists to go alongside his pair of goals, Ovcharov and Taillefer had three assists on top of their goals as well, and Nathan Quinn had a pair of assists. The top guys really got it done for the Remparts.
