Saint John is starting to come into form, beating Charlottetown at home.

A busy Thanksgiving weekend of QMJHL action continues, with another six games across the league on Saturday.

The Saint John Sea Dogs have been rounding into great form as of late, and showed why with another win over the Charlottetown Islanders.

It's been the young guys for Saint John coming alive in the past couple of weeks, and a team touted as legitimate contenders preseason is starting to really come alive.

After a scoreless first period in this one, it was the brightest of those stars in Alexis Joseph who got the scoring underway, his third game in a row with a goal.

The Islanders would even the score just five minutes later, through KJ Eccleston's fifth of the season. From there, the second half of the period was all Sea Dogs. Zachary Morin, Ryan Howard and Alex Donovan scored to give the hosts a big 4-1 lead entering the third period.

In that final frame, a quick Charlottetown start made things interesting, with Hugo Charron and Nolan Duskocy scoring just 33 seconds apart to make it 4-3 with over 16 minutes left.

But Samuel Meloche and the Saint John defence held things down from there, and they walked away with a big home victory to jump to a 5-1-2 record.
