The dynamic Russian's four-goal game was key in Victoriaville's win.

A rare Wednesday night QMJHL game got us underway for week three, and it was a thriller.

It seems like every single Victoriaville Tigres game has a ton of goals and a ton of action, and this one was no different. They sure know how to put the puck in the net.

The Tigres have been one of the most entertaining teams to watch over the past couple of seasons, mostly because their games always feature a bunch of goals, both ways.

This one was no different, and Alexey Vlasov got the party going early with a pair of goals in the opening 10 minutes of a busy first period. Will Shields got one back for Charlottetown, but it was quickly cancelled out by a strange Egor Shilov goal.

The Islanders would find two more goals at the end of the period through Nolan Duskocy and Hudson Armstrong, and these two foes would enter the dressing rooms tied at three.

Vlasov completed his hat trick just 43 seconds into the middle frame, before KJ Eccleston tied it up once again. That would be all the scoring in the second, as the teams entered the third still tied at four.

Charlottetown would take their first lead of the game through Armstrong's second of the night, but it was that man Vlasov again there to tie it up with his fourth of the night just under 40 seconds later.

Both teams would lock it down from there, and this very close game would require an extra frame. It was Alexis Desroches who found the winner in OT, sending the fans home happy in Victoriaville.

Vlasov's offence obviously led the way, while Thomas Desruisseaux put up three assists. Andrei Nikolayev stopped 36 of 41 to pick up the victory.
