NCAA's Lindenwood University have secured their first QMJHL player with the commitment of Shawinigan Cataractes star forward Louis-Philippe Fontaine.
Fontaine, 20, has 66 points (28+38) across 60 games this season -- for third highest point totals on the team and 19th highest in the league as of March 14th.
The 5-foot-9 center/left winger is just four games away from finishing a five season long QMJHL, amassing 209 points (105+104) across 272 games between the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and the Cataractes.
He'll end off this chapter of his hockey career as a key piece of Shawinigan's post-season push.
