The Cape Breton Eagles published a press release this morning, stating that three of its players were involved in a multi-car accident yesterday afternoon.
The players involved in the accident were 19-year old left winger Angelo Fullerton, 19-year old right winger Lucas Romeo and 20-year old defenseman Brayden Schmitt.
It is unclear which injuries the three players received nor if any of the three will be ready by opening night.
Thankfully all three players involved are without any major injuries from the incident, with Angelo Fullerton and Lucas Romeo already having been released from the hospital.
Brayden Schmitt was kept overnight, to ensure his injuries were best tended too by medical professionals.
