Concordia University's Mikael Hutchette is one of those stars who is taking his talents to the NCAA, committing to Clarkson University for next season.
Hutchette, 21, had 28 points (9+19) across 26 games in his rookie season in USports, winning the OUA championship.
His midas touch isn't new as Hutchette was a decorated player throughout his four QMJHL seasons. Hutchette was a piece in the 2022-23 Quebec Remparts run, which saw him win both a QMJHL championship and a Memorial Cup. He would then be dealt to the Drummondville Voltigeurs to try repeat the feat, winning the QMJHL championship but falling short in the Memorial Cup finals.
All-in-all, Hutchette netted 102 points (38+64) across 156 games in the QMJHL between the Remparts and the Voltigeurs.
