They named forward Luke Cavallin as the final piece of their deadline deal for forward Nathan Baril, and now they have moved on from Buffalo Sabres fourth round pick, defenseman Simon-Pier Brunet to conclude their deadline deal with the Victoriaville Tigres for Justin Larose.
Brunet, 19, has 32 (8+24) points on the season across 60 games. Across his four seasons in the 'Q', he's amassed 51 points (13+38) over 164 games -- winning a QMJHL championship in 2023-24 and donning the 'A' this season.
As of yet, the Sabres have not signed Brunet to an entry-level deal -- pointing all signs to him playing out his overage season in Victoriaville.
All-in-all, Brunet would be a massive, steady piece for the Tigres blueline.
