- 2024 WHL Playoffs Preview, Round 2: 2) Moose Jaw Warriors vs 3) Swift Current BroncosFor the first time since 2018, the Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Broncos will battle it out in the second round. Despite winning the Central Division, the Broncos will be the lower seed as teams were reseeded based on overall points after the first round. An even series that saw each team win three games during the regular season, it should be another exciting chapter as these two conference rivals go head to head in round two of the 2024 WHL playoffs.
Starting with the Warriors, they are filled with talented game-breakers. Led by stars such as Jagger Firkus, Denton Mateychuk and Matthew Savoie, they have the potential to make life difficult for Swift Current all series. Add in a deep supporting class plus strong goaltending, and they could be on their way to the East Final for the first time since 2012.
As for the Broncos, they are a dangerous team that should push Moose Jaw to the limit. Conor Geekie has been fantastic since joining at the trade deadline, while Clarke Caswell, Owen Pickering and Luke Mistelbacher have all had strong starts to the playoffs. If Reid Dyck can stand his ground in net, this could be a long and exciting series that goes the distance.
Prediction: Moose Jaw in seven
