Spokane Chiefs 4, Victoria Royals 3 (2OT)
Spokane Leads Series 1-0
The Spokane Chiefs and Victoria Royals kicked off their second-round series with a thrilling 4-3 double overtime win by the Chiefs. Rasmus Ekström was the hero, as he scored 10:35 into the second overtime period to send the Spokane fans home happy. As for the goaltenders, Royals Johnny Hicks stopped 53 of the 57 shots he faced while Cheifs Dawson Cowan made 32 saves in the victory.

Medicine Hat Tigers 5, Prince Albert Raiders 4 (OT)
Medicine Hat Leads Series 2-0
Just like Spokane, the Medicine Hat Tigers picked up an overtime victory on Sunday, defeating the Prince Albert Raiders 5-4. Liam Ruck's power play goal at 8:50 of overtime sent Co-op Place into a frenzy, as Medicine Hat extended their series lead to 2-0. In the end, special teams played a massive factor for the Tigers as not only did they score twice on the power play, but also scored two goals while shorthanded.
