The Spokane Chiefs and Victoria will battle it out in the second round for a spot in the 2025 Western Conference Final. Spokane captured the season series 3-1 this year, which includes both games that took place in Victoria. Despite the Royals winning their division, the Chiefs will have home-ice in this series, as they finished with more points during the season.

Both Spokane and Victoria should be refreshed heading into this series. Each picked up 4-1 series victories in the first round and will have had at least a week of rest before Game 1. While it may take a few minutes for the players to get their legs under them, overall, this series should feature some special moments and potentially some very high scores.

Starting with the Chiefs, they will be counting on their top line to keep producing. The trio of Andrew Cristall, Berkly Catton and Shea Van Olm produced combined points in the first round, with each player also recording at least 15 shots on goal. If this line can step up, especially on the power play, they may be able to overpower the Royals in this series.

As for Victoria, scoring by committee will be a key to success in round two. During their first-round matchup, the Royals received goals from 12 players and didn't have a repeat skater score a game-winner. If Victoria's depth and blue line can keep producing, they will have a good chance of advancing to the Western Conference Final.

Overall, this should be an exciting series with plenty of highlight-reel moments. Both teams have plenty of firepower, which could make the next two weeks a pain for both goaltenders. Ultimately, do not be surprised if this series goes the distance, as these powerhouse teams try to keep their Memorial Cup dreams alive.
