Imports play a crucial role across the CHL. This season, close to 50 imports have played in the WHL, with many of them having significant impacts on the success of their teams. Here is a look at four imports who are thriving in their first WHL season.

    Kenta Isogai- Wenatchee Wild

The only player born in Japan this season, Kenta Isogai, has had no trouble adjusting to life in the WHL. After spending the last three seasons in the USHL, Isogai took his talents to the Wenatchee Wild, where he leads the team with 74 points in 50 games. With points in 14 of his past 16 games, he has been a significant part of the Wild's success this season.

    Julius Miettinen- Everett Silvertips

A draft-eligible prospect, Julius Miettinen has made his mark on the WHL this season. The Everett Silvertips forward has already surpassed the 20-goal mark and is up to 46 points through his first 54 games. While he did have success in Finland the last few years, it is safe to say he made the right decision to move to North America.

    Dominik Petr- Brandon Wheat Kings

One of many players from Czechia making an impact in the WHL, Dominik Petr, is having a successful first season with the Brandon Wheat Kings. He sits fifth on the team with 34 points in 51 games and leads the Wheat Kings with four insurance goals. Currently in his second year of draft eligibility, he could be a late-round pick this year.

Dominik Petr Goal vs Prince Albert Raiders

    Adam Jecho- Edmonton Oil Kings

Adam Jecho is showing why he could be a first-round pick this year. The Edmonton Oil Kings forward has 32 points in 38 games and helped Czechia capture a Silver Medal at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this past summer. While he has had to deal with injuries, he has been a bright spot for Edmonton and is showing why the Oil Kings selected him third overall in last year's import draft.
