A look at some season and career milestones WHLers may hit before the end of the 2023-24 season.

The 2023-24 WHL regular season has featured plenty of excitement and milestones. From Riley Heidt becoming the Prince George Cougars' all-time points leader to the next generation of players like Keaton Verhoeff, Ryan Lin and Jaxon Jacobson making their WHL debuts, there has been no shortage of celebrations across the league this season. With that in mind, here is a look at some players who could achieve season and career milestones before the end of the season.
By the end of the season, the 250 career point club could expand from two to nine. Seven players are within 25 points of 250 for their careers, with Andrew Cristall and Riley Heidt leading the way with 247. This will be an exciting race to watch as players like Matthew Savoie, Conor Geekie, Gabe Klassen, Trevor Wong and James Stefan look to hit the historic milestone.
The race to see who will hit the 100-point mark first is heating up, with five players separated by seven points. Leading the way is Jagger Firkus with 87, while Heidt is not too far behind with 84. Klassen is also in the running with 83, while Zac Funk and Trevor Wong have 81 and 80 on the season. All five are having extraordinary seasons, and regardless of who hits the milestone first, they should all pass the century mark this season.
Based on projected totals, four players could hit 50 goals this season. Funk is the closest with 46, but Yegor Sidorov is slowly catching up with 41. Add in Firkus, who is at 39, and Berkly Catton's 35 and the WHL could have four 50-goal scorers for the first time since 2017-18.
With 95 career wins, Daniel Hauser is set to cross the 100-win mark before the end of the season. If he does, he would become the 19th goaltender in WHL history to achieve the feat and would be only 22 wins away from tying the all-time record set by Nolan Maier. With another year of WHL eligibility, we may have a new WHL wins king by the end of 2024-25.
Heading into the final stretch of 2023-24, four goaltenders are within striking distance of 30 wins on the season. Jackson Unger leads the way with 26, followed by Austin Elliott with 23 and Harrison Meneghin with 22. Tyler Plamer also has a chance, as he is the only other player above 20 wins, currently sitting at 21. These four goaltenders have been great all season, and based on how their teams are playing, they should have no issue hitting the 30-win mark.
