Gavin McKenna and Landon DuPont go head-to-head on Wednesday night.

THN's The Big Show- 2025 NHL Draft, Who Should Go First?

Wednesday Night in the Dub provides hockey fans with a unique look into the future. This week's marquee event features the Medicine Hat Tigers taking on the Everett Silvertips, the first time Gavin McKenna and Landon DuPont will face off in the WHL. Wednesday will feature a battle of the top two teams in the WHL, as well as the chance to see the projected first-overall picks for both the 2026 and 2027 NHL Entry Drafts.

After winning Rookie of the Year in 2024, McKenna has taken his game to another level. The Tigers left-winger leads the WHL in points with 79 in 39 games and is well on his way to recording his first 100-point season. With points in 23 of his previous 24 games, McKenna is a threat to score whenever the puck is on his stick.

As for DuPont, the 15-year-old continues to live up to his Exceptional Player status. The Silvertips defenceman has 46 points in 48 games, which leads all WHL rookies this season. A dynamic puck mover, Dupont is on pace for one of the best seasons by a U-17 defenceman in league history.

The best part of Wednesday's matchup is that it is free to view. Fans can stream on WHL Live and the WHL’s YouTube Channel. Puck drop for this matchup is set for 7:05 pm PT from the Angel of the Winds Arena.
