The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Miroslav Holinka to a three-year, entry-level contract. The Edmonton Oil Kings forward was drafted by Toronto 151st overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Holinka is one of many former WHLers now in the Maple Leafs system, which also includes Morgan Rielly, Brandon Carlo and Noah Chadwick.
The 2024-25 campaign was Holinka's first in the WHL. He recorded 45 points in 47 games while also representing Czechia at the 2025 World Juniors. Holinka was selected 14th overall in the 2024 CHL Import Draft, which occurred just days after the Maple Leafs selected him in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
While Holinka is eligible to return to the WHL, he will most likely join the Toronto Marlies in the AHL. Holinka will turn 20 this season and already has experience playing at the pro level in Czechia. Listed at 6'1", 185 lbs, Holinka is a versatile forward who can play both on the wing and at center.
