Everett, Prince Albert, Medicine Hat & Penticton Named To 2025-26 CHL Top-10 Week 20 Rankings

Every week, the CHL releases a list of the top-10 teams in the league. Throughout the season, we at The Hockey News will be keeping track of which WHL teams are in the rankings, as well as who finishes the year ranked highest. Here is a look at the three WHL teams that made the Week 12 rankings.

Everett Silvertips - 1st

Everett holds No. 1 for a second straight week behind a CHL-leading 41 wins and a .850 points percentage. The Silvertips are coming off dominant home victories over the Kamloops Blazers and Victoria Royals. The offence has been ignited by Carter Bear, who has exploded for 11 points in his last four games, and Matias Vanhanen, who provided the primary setup for Bear’s second hat trick of the season.

Prince Albert Raiders - 2nd

At No. 2 for the third time in four weeks, Prince Albert remains relentless, going 22-3-1-0 in its last 26 games. The Raiders have already become the first WHL club to officially clinch a 2026 playoff spot. Braeden Cootes continues to dominate, posting seven points across three games to cap another perfect week for the club.

Medicine Hat Tigers - 8th

The Medicine Hat Tigers are 34-11-3-2 and sit 8th in the CHL.  The "Tabbies" recently completed a masterful home-and-home sweep of the Swift Current Broncos, highlighted by an 8-1 blowout on Saturday night.

Penticton Vees - 9th

The expansion Penticton Vees sit at No. 7 and mark their sixth consecutive week on the national list. The Vees bounced back from a rare midweek loss to the Spokane Chiefs by sweeping a home-and-home series against the Tri-City Americans.  New York Islanders prospect Jacob Kvasnicka remains the engine of the team, tallying 67 points.
