Five players that have proven to be invaluable to their teams at the 2024 WHL Cup.

With the 2024 WHL Cup coming to a close, dozens of prospects have made their case for a spot on their team's starting roster next season. Here are five that have stood above the rest coming out of Sunday's final game.

    Mirco Dufour- Everett Silvertips

A 19th overall selection by Everett in the 2024 WHL Draft, Dufour is quickly making a name for himself among WHL fans. His quick release, speed through the neutral zone, and high hockey sense should appeal him to many. The Rocky View, Alta. native finished with seven points en route to a Team Alberta championship.

    Adam Muntain- Spokane Chiefs

Hailing from Regina, Sask. Muntain placed third in the entire tournament in goals against average (3.35) and save percentage (.912) while being just one of two goaltenders to post a shutout. An eighth round pick of the Chiefs, Muntain's composed play may earn him a bright future in Spokane.

    Kaden Stroeder- Edmonton Oil Kings

A cornerstone of Team Saskatchewan, Stroeder proved why his skill is beyond the AA level he played last season. Finishing second in points tournament-wide, the Lanigan, Sask. product provided a dynamic approach to the game and was always around to either set up a teammate or put home a chance of his own.

    Brock England- Seattle Thunderbirds

England had been invaluable to Team Alberta throughout the tournament, including a three-point performance against Team Saskatchewan in the semifinals. While most of his production early on came in the form of assists, England's goal scoring really heated up in games four and five. An eleventh overall pick of Seattle, Thunderbirds fans have a lot to be excited about.

    Blake Chorney- Vancouver Giants

Last but certainly not least, Chorney seemed to only get better with each passing game. Capping off his last two contests with a hat-trick and a four assist night respectively, the Nipawin native was a treat to watch. Selected tenth overall by the Giants, Chorney led the pack in points with 11 as well as goals with seven. While his team did not win the championship, Chorney was named Team Saskatchewan's top performer by the WHL.
