Jonah Sivertson Named 50th Captain in Prince Albert Raiders History
The Prince Albert Raiders have officially found their next leader, announcing that forward Jonah Sivertson has been named the 50th captain in franchise history.
Originally selected by Prince Albert in the fourth round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, the Regina, Sask., product has been a steady, highly competitive presence since joining the Raiders. In 92 career WHL contests, Sivertson has compiled 28 goals and 35 assists for 63 points.
The Vegas Golden Knights selected him in the fourth round of the 2026 NHL Draft.
Head coach Ryan McDonald praised the Golden Knights prospects evolution as a leader within a deep locker room. "Jonah has shown tremendous growth on and off the ice," McDonald said. "What makes this group so special is that leadership doesn’t rest on one person’s shoulders. We believe in leading by numbers, and it’s evident over the last few months that Jonah is the voice that can connect those numbers."
Additionally Brandon Gorzynski and Benett Kelly will continue to serve as alternate captains, while Riley Boychuk and Ben Harvey will also wear letters for the Raiders this season.
