After an exciting post-season, it is finally time for the 2025 Memorial Cup. This year's tournament features a stacked field, including the Medicine Hat Tigers, who will represent the WHL. While this will not be an easy tournament, the Tigers have built a deep roster and have a very good chance of lifting the trophy on June 1.

In order to win the Memorial Cup, Medicine Hat will need a full team effort every night. This is a short tournament, with one mistake potentially ending an organization's chance at a championship. With this in mind, here is a look at five Tigers to watch during the 2025 Memorial Cup.
The first name on this list is an easy choice as Gavin McKenna is one of the favourites for Memorial Cup MVP. The 2026 NHL Draft prospect had 38 points in 16 playoff games this season, while also being named the WHL's Player of the Year. While McKenna has already built a strong junior legacy, a Memorial Cup win will cement him as one of the best CHL players of the 21st century.
Harrison Meneghin was the story of the 2025 WHL Playoffs. The Tampa Bay Lightning prospect put together a remarkable run, posting a 14-1-0 record while winning the WHL Playoffs MVP. If Meneghin can continue to stand on his head, there is a good chance that the Memorial Cup will be headed back to Medicine Hat.
Bryce Pickford has become a goal-scoring machine for the Tigers. The 2025 NHL Draft prospect scored 13 times during the post-season, tying the record for most goals by a defenceman in a single playoff run. With how tight this tournament is expected to be, Pickford will need to continue to be dynamic at both ends of the ice for Medicine Hat to skate away as champions.
Oasiz Wiesblatt continues to lead by example. The Tigers' captain followed up his 103-point regular season by leading Medicine Hat in goals during the post-season with 14 in 18 games. A talented player who is off to the AHL next year, Wiesblatt could be in store for a Memorial Cup to remember.
After missing over a year of action, Cayden Lindstrom returned during the WHL Championship and was able to make an immediate impact. The Columbus Blue Jackets prospect recorded four points in four games and scored the game-winning goal in Game 3. If Lindstrom can stay healthy, he could be the game-breaker for the Tigers.
