Penticton Vees Set CHL Wins Record cover image

The Penticton Vees first season has been historic.

The Penticton Vees inagural season is now a historic one. With their 38th victory over the Prince Albert Raiders, Penticton set the CHL record for wins in a teams first season. The original record was held by the 1982-1983 Longueuil Chevaliers of the QMJHL, who went 37-29-4.

After 59 games, the Vees have a record of 38-13-4-4. They sit at the top of the B.C. Division and are projected to finish second in the Western Conference behind the Everett Silvertips. Penticton has been dynamic at both ends of the ice this season, as they have scored 233 goals while allowing only 167.

The Vees have one more game on their East Division road trip before returning home on March 6. Penticton has nine games left, including a back-to-back against the Silvertips. The Vees have already clinched a playoff spot and are projected to clinch the division title before the regular season concludes.
