Prime Video Launches 'Hometown Giants' Docuseries Highlighting the WHL's Vancouver Giants

Prime Video has launched its new Canadian original docuseries, Hometown Giants, offering unprecedented, unfiltered access to the Western Hockey League's Vancouver Giants.

The six-part series chronicles the franchise's 2025-26 season, heavily featuring part-owners Michael Bublé and Drew Scott. The docuseries follows the global music icon and television entrepreneur as they work alongside a revamped front office to restore a team that hasn't captured a WHL championship since 2007. The show captures the bold front-office decisions, roster-shaping trades, and high-pressure moments that define a season on the edge.

Moving beyond the boardroom, the series delves into the deeply personal coming-of-age stories of the players themselves. It highlights the struggles of teenagers living away from home, finishing high school, and navigating everyday life while chasing NHL dreams that only a fraction will ever realize.

The narrative showcases rookies adjusting to the intense speed of the WHL while veterans fight to maintain their place in the lineup. As the trade deadline looms, the docuseries shines a spotlight on top prospect Ryan Lin, follows Torretto Marrelli's fight to stay on the roster, and details the emotional toll of season-defining moves and looming injuries.

Produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment in association with Amazon MGM Studios, all six episodes of Hometown Giants are available to stream now globally on Prime Video.
