Three WHL trades have gone down this week.
WHL teams were busy this week as three trades were finalized. The moves included four players and three draft picks swapping spots. Here is a recap of the three trades.
The first trade of the week featured the Kamloops Blazers sending forward Ty Coupland to the Wenatchee Wild. In return, the Blazers received a 2027 sixth-round pick. So far this season, Coupland has played five games and recorded one assist.
The next move saw the Swift Current Broncos trade forward Brendan Rudolph to the Everett Silvertips for forward Clarke Schaefer and a 2030 fourth-round pick. This season, Rudolph has two goals and an assist in eight games. As for Schaefer, he has played five games but has yet to record a point this year.
Finally, the Vancouver Giants acquired defenceman David Byrne from the Tri-City Americans. In exchange for the 18-year-old, the Americans received a 2030 seventh-round pick. Byrne has played six games this season but is still looking for his first point of the year.
