
Two more teams have clinched their spots in the 2026 WHL Playoffs. On Friday, the Prince George Cougars and Kelowna Rockets clinched berths in the 2026 post-season. Prince George securied their spot with a a 5-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs while the Kelowna locked up their place by picking up a point against the Vancouver Giants.
The Cougars are headed to the playoffs for the fifth straight season. Prince George currently sits second in the B.C. Division with a record of 37-22-2-0. The Cougars have scored 222 goal this season and have the third-best penalty kill in the Western Conference.
As for the Rockets, they are set to host the Memorial Cup this season. Through 61 games, Kelowna has a record of 34-19-6-2. The Rockets are hitting their stride at the right time as they have won seven of their last 10 games.
