
Ollie Josephson is headed to the NCAA. The Red Deer Rebels forward announced that he has committed to the University of North Dakota for the 2025-26 season. Last season, Josephson recorded 35 points in 48 games and was named captain of the Rebels.
Josephson has spent his entire WHL career with Red Deer. In 185 regular-season games, he has scored 31 goals and recorded 102 points. In 2024, Josephson was drafted by the Seattle Kraken after winning Gold at both the U18s and Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
The University of North Dakota will have a few former WHLers on their roster next season. Victoria Royals Cole Reschny and Keaton Verhoeff have already committed as well as Portland Winterhawks Joshua Zakreski. Last season, the University of North Dakota made it to the Semifinal of their conference's playoffs before falling to Western Michigan.
