The Saskatoon Blades have qualified for the 2026 WHL Playoffs

The Saskatoon Blades are headed to 2026 WHL Playoffs. Saskatoon qualifed thanks to a 5-3 victory over the Pentciton Vees on Wednesday. The Blades are the eighth WHL team to punch their ticket to the playoffs and sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Saskatoon has now qualified for the post-season in five straight seasons. Last year, the Blades faced the Calgary Hitmen in the first round, but were swept in four games. Saskatoon did make it to two straight East Finals in 2022 and 2023, but fell in both instances.

As for the 2025-26 season, the Blades have build a strong team with NHL drafted talent. They are led by Evan Gardner, Hunter Laing and David Lewandowski, who have all heard their names called by NHL teams. Saskatoon has a 30-23-4-2 record and currently rank third in the East Division.
