Who else could it be? In the latest Canadian Hockey League Top 10 Power Rankings, four WHL clubs stand tall above the rest.
Spokane Chiefs (5 --> 4)
It's difficult to deny the dominance of Spokane, especially since the trade deadline. Being one of the hottest teams in the league, with an 8-2 record in their last 10 games (including a 9-2 win over Victoria) the Chiefs are set to roll into the post-season with a chip on their shoulder.
Medicine Hat Tigers (6 --> 5)
Medicine Hat should arguably be getting more praise, as arguably one of the best squads down the stretch. With Jordan Switzer setting a new franchise shutout record, and Gavin McKenna increasing his point streak even further, the Tigers have every right to pat themselves on the back heading into the end of the month.
Everett Silvertips (4 --> 6)
One of the biggest acquisitions of the trade deadline perhaps was not a trade at all. The return of forward Austin Roest has been monumental, tallying a pair of points in his first two games back in the WHL. The Nashville Predators prospect is poised to help his team make a long playoff run this spring.
Calgary Hitmen (8 --> 8)
Daniel Hauser. That is all.
The Hitmen's biggest get at the deadline has been paying dividends, coming within five minutes of the league shutout record- over four consecutive games. Collecting huge wins over Swift Current, Brandon, and Kelowna, Calgary looks to have loaded up and is ready to walk the walk in a few weeks time.
