Seven players have scored at least 40 goals this season.

As the WHL enters its final weekend, one battle to watch is who will lead the league in scoring. With most teams wrapping up the regular season on Saturday, players have one final chance to take top spot on the list. Here is a look at the three players most likely to finish with the most goals in the WHL this season.

At the top of the list is Seattle Thunderbirds forward Cameron Schmidt, who has 46 goals on the season. The 19-year-old has been dynamic throughout the campaign and is also among the league leaders with 95 points. Schmidt does have a slight advantage as he is set to play twice, while the other two on this list are down to their final game.

Currently in second place with 45 goals is Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman Bryce Pickford. It has been a historic season for the 19-year-old, who has set the record for goals scored in a season by a defenceman since 2000. Pickford enters the day with 83 points in 55 games and is one of the favourites to take home this year's Four Broncos Memorial Trophy.

Lastly, Liam Ruck also has a chance at the top spot as he enters his final game of the season with 44 goals. The 2026 NHL Draft prospect has also eclipsed the 100-point mark, joining his brother Markus as the only two players so far this season in the century club. Both Ruck brothers are projected as top-50 picks for the upcoming draft and have helped the Tigers win the Central Division crown.
