The Boston Fleet announced their 2025-26 schedule today, revealing that the season will start at home on November 23rd against the Montreal Victoire.
The Fleet will play eight games at their home arena, the Tsongas Center, this season. They will also play four games at Agganis Arena, home of the Boston University Terriers. The Fleet played two games last season at Agganis and had a good turnout.
This season, the schedule will feature several matchups against the two expansion teams, Seattle and Vancouver.
They will face Vancouver for the first time on December 3rd at Agganis, and then face Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena on December 21st.
The matchups against Seattle are some of the most anticipated games of the season, given that several Fleet players, including former captain Hilary Knight and defender Lexie Adzija, both joined the expansion team this offseason.
Knight will return to Tsongas Center on January 7th, where she will face her former team at home for the first time since being left unprotected in expansion.
Fans will also get the opportunity to see the newest Fleet players hit the ice at the Tsongas Center to kick off the new season. The team's roster underwent significant changes in the offseason. From the PWHL Entry Draft to the Expansion Draft and trades, several new Fleet players will hit the ice on November 23rd.
In the 2025 Entry Draft, the Fleet selected Haley Winn, Ella Huber, Olivia Mobley, Riley Brengman, Abby Newhook, and Amada Thiele.
Boston also added several players to their roster who were already in the PWHL. Chloe Aurard, Liz Schepers, Laura Kluge, Zoe Boyd, Rylind MacKinnon, and Abby Levey all joined the Fleet this offseason.
The Fleet will play four games before the league pauses for the International break, which will begin on December 3rd. They will return on December 17th and play 10 games before taking a second break on January 29th for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Ahead of the season, General Manager Danielle Marmer discussed the team's mindset for the upcoming season.
“There isn’t a single opponent we can afford to overlook this season,” said Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer. “The competitive balance in this league is incredible, and now with the addition of Seattle and Vancouve,r the intensity and competitiveness are only going to rise. We know we’ll need to bring our best effort every night and find a way to play consistent hockey throughout the season.”
Another change in the off-season was in the head coaching role. Former head coach Courtney Kessel left the team and was replaced by Kris Sparre, the second head coach in franchise history.
Sparre shared his thoughts ahead of the puck drop on the 2025-26 season.
“From my conversations with the players, it’s clear there’s a lot of excitement to get going,” said Fleet Head Coach Kris Sparre. “We had a powerful draft, and Danielle has done an outstanding job bringing in high-character people who complement the strong culture already in place. With that being said, the addition of Seattle and Vancouver has brought the league to a new level, setting the stage for very competitive hockey. I'm sure November 23rd is now circled on everyone's calendar as we are all excited to open the season at home in front of our amazing fans.”
There is a lot to look forward to as the countdown begins. There are officially 53 days until the puck drops on the Boston Fleet’s third season.
