PWHL Seattle has formally announced the signing of Danielle Serdachny, which was previously reported by The Hockey News

Serdachny was the second overall pick of the Ottawa Charge in the 2024 PWHL Draft after starring for Colgate in the NCAA and with Canada's senior national team. She signed a two-year deal with Seattle.

“Danielle is a tremendous addition to our group,” said PWHL Seattle General Manager Meghan Turner. “She’s strong, plays through contact, and she’s only beginning to tap into her full potential. Her ability to possess the puck and make plays under pressure will be a big asset for us as we build the identity of PWHL Seattle.”

Serdachny finished the 2024-25 season recording eight points in 30 games for Ottawa. The 24-year-old from Alberta has scored in the past two gold medal games for Canada at the World Championships including the golden goal in overtime in 2024.

“I'm absolutely thrilled and honored to join PWHL Seattle,” said Serdachny. “I am eager to contribute to building a remarkable legacy for this incredible city. I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to be one of the team’s first signees!”

Serdachny joins Hilary Knight in Seattle who was formally announced late last night on the opening day of the exclusive signing window.
