Truth be told, the Dallas Stars have probably underachieved as an NHL franchise when it comes to winning Stanley Cups.

After all, they have only one of them in their history, which probably is more of a testament to how incredibly difficult it is to win a championship than it is the Stars.

The Stars' Mount Rushmore, even though it falls in the bottom half of the NHL, is pretty darn impressive. It's led by one of the greatest American-born players to ever play in the NHL, along with a dynamic defenseman, one of the greatest two-way players of his generation and a captain who scores and dishes out punishment.

Here's how the NHL Mount Rushmore rankings have gone so far:

    32. Seattle Kraken
    31. Columbus Blue Jackets
    30. Arizona Coyotes/Utah HC
    29. Minnesota Wild
    28. Ottawa Senators
    27. Winnipeg Jets
    26. Vegas Golden Knights
    25. Nashville Predators
    24. Carolina Hurricanes
    23. Anaheim Ducks
