Boston Bruins forward Marc McLaughlin is ready to go for his season debut.

The Boston Bruins are gearing up for tonight's (March 2) contest against the New York Islanders. Their goal will be to build off of their hard-fought win against the Vegas Golden Knights last game.

Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery shared with reporters earlier today that the club's lineup will have some changes to it. Derek Forbort and Marc McLaughlin will be inserted into the lineup, while Matt Grzelcyk and Justin Brazeau are out due to "day-to-day soreness." Montgomery also noted that Grzelcyk and Brazeau are expected to be good to go for the club's March 4 contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Seeing McLaughlin getting into the lineup is notable, as it will be the Massachusett's 2023-24 season debut with Boston. While speaking to reporters, McLaughlin shared excitement about his recent call-up.

Here's what the youngster had to say about his recent recall: "Really excited. I'm jacked up to be here. I've been putting in a lot of work in Providence, and it's good to see that pay off."

McLaughlin, 24, has spent the entirety of this season with the Providence Bruins. In 53 AHL games on the campaign, he has six goals to go along with 11 points.

McLaughlin has played in 13 career NHL games with the Bruins, posting three goals and a minus-2 rating. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact he makes against the Islanders tonight from here.
