Boston Bruins prospect Jonathan Morello has de-committed from Clarkson University and has instead committed to Boston University. He will join BU for the 2025-26 season and spend this upcoming season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League.

Morello, 18, was selected by the Bruins with the 154th overall pick of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3 forward spent this past season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, posting 25 goals and 57 points in 50 games with the St. Michael's Buzzers. In addition, he was dominant during the playoffs, recording 21 points in just 11 games.

This is undoubtedly a big change for Morello, as he will get the opportunity to play for one of the top collegiate programs in the sport once 2025-26 rolls around. This switch is also convenient for the Bruins, as he will now develop his game in the same city as the pro club.

It will now be interesting to see how the promising youngster performs this upcoming season with the Fighting Saints before officially getting his collegiate career going in 2025-26.
