

The Boston Bruins have made a notable move, re-signing top goalie prospect Brandon Bussi to a one-year, two-way contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $775,000 cap hit.
It was recently reported that the Bruins and Bussi were making progress on his new deal. Now, it has come to fruition, and the Bruins’ top goalie prospect is staying put because of it.
Brandon BussiBussi is entering a big year, as there’s a real chance that he will be competing for the Bruins’ backup job in 2024-25. Bruins star Linus Ullmark is currently the king of the rumor mill, and a trade appears to be inevitable.
Bussi has been excellent for the Providence Bruins since his arrival, and that remained the case in 2023-24. .He had a solid 913 SV% in 41 games this season for Providence. This was after he sported a .924 SV% and was named to both the All-Rookie Team and Atlantic Division All-Star Team last season.
It will now be intriguing to see how Bussi performs next season. He has seen his value as a prospect increase significantly over the years, and let’s see if he can make the jump to Boston from here.
