Bruins Among 4 Teams Having Goalie Trade Discussions

Trade chatter is continuing to surround the Bruins.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

Trade deadline day is here, and teams around the NHL are scrambling to make their final moves before 3:00 pm ET. The Bruins have been quiet thus far, failing to make a single trade. However, things may change on that front before the day is over.

According to NHL insider Kevin Weekes, the Bruins, Calgary Flames, New Jersey Devils, and Los Angeles Kings are all having discussions centering around goalies. He also reported that "some potential 3 way trade scenarios" could occur.

Bruins star goalie Linus Ullmark has been the subject of trade rumors for several weeks. With the club having Jeremy Swayman and limited cap space, the prospect of moving Ullmark is certainly on the table. This latest development from Weekes only adds more fuel to that fire.

When looking at the teams listed above, the two clubs likely expressing interest in Ullmark are the Devils and Kings. Each team needs help between the pipes, and he would give them that. The Flames, on the other hand, have been actively shopping Jacob Markstrom.

We will need to wait and see if these reported discussions result in a move before the deadline. This should be a very eventful day.
