This Bruins defenseman threw a massive hit against the Senators.

The Boston Bruins ended their 2023-24 season in a rather dissatisfying fashion, losing to the Ottawa Senators by a 3-1 final score. They played the first two periods extremely poorly, recording just 12 shots. They picked up in the third and made it a game, but a costly turnover by David Pastrnak led to the Senators' back-breaking empty-netter. From there, Boston lost the top spot in the Atlantic Division.

While the Bruins' final game of the season was frustrating, Andrew Peeke provided some excitement. The 6-foot-3 defenseman absolutely flattened Ottawa Senators star defenseman Thomas Chabot with a beautiful open-ice hit.

When the Bruins acquired Peeke at the deadline, their hope was that he would make their blue line tougher to go up against. It is easy to understand their reasoning, as Peeke is known as being a hard-nosed, defensive defenseman. So far, he has lived up to expectations, and this latest hit on Chabot only further displays that.

The Bruins will now be hoping that Peeke's immensely physical game style makes him quite impactful during the playoffs. They will need him to slow down the Toronto Maple Leafs' superstars, such as Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, and William Nylander.
