This Bruins defenseman will be losing some money.
Boston Bruins defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk played a role in the club's win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday (April 13). After receiving a perfect feed from David Pastrnak, Shattenkirk beat Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic with a beautiful snipe.
While Shattenkirk made an impact against the Penguins, some bad news has been handed his way. NHL Player Safety fined Shattenkirk $2,734.38, the maximum allowable under the current CBA, due to unsportsmanlike conduct against the Penguins.
The incident that led to Shattenkirk's fine occurred on Penguins forward Michael Bunting at the 19:37 mark of the first period.

In 59 games this season, Shattenkirk has six goals to go along with 23 points.
