The Boston Bruins have placed forward Tyler Johnson on unconditional waivers for the purposes of contract termination.
Johnson, 34, signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Bruins back in November. This was after he joined the club at training camp on a professional tryout (PTO).
Following signing with the Bruins, Johnson had two assists and a minus-1 rating in nine games. He also was the odd man out often as of late, as he only played once this month on Dec. 12.

If Johnson clears unconditional waivers, his contract will officially be terminated, and he will become a free agent again.
