The Boston Bruins' 2024-25 season is over, and they now have a massive off-season ahead. After a disappointing campaign that saw them blow up their roster at the deadline, the Bruins now have some moves to make if they hope to have any chance of being a playoff team again next season.

Due to this, let's go over three roster needs the Bruins should be looking to address this summer now.

Bruins' No. 1 Need: Top-Six Center

While 2024 off-season addition Elias Lindholm had a strong finish to this season, it is clear that the Bruins still desperately need help down the middle. Their primary goal should be to land a top-six center, as they need more offense if they hope to be a threat next year.

Some notable centers who could become unrestricted free agents on July 1 include Matt Duchene, Sam Bennett, Brock Nelson, Claude Giroux, and John Tavares. However, if the Bruins want a true 1C, they may need to see what's out there on the trade market.

Bruins' No. 2 Need: Top-Six Winger

Adding a top-six winger is something the Bruins should look to do this off-season. They did not find a legitimate replacement for Jake DeBrusk this past summer, and it was one of the many reasons why they struggled in 2024-25. Thus, adding a scoring winger would be a nice step in the right direction for Boston.

This year's free agency class could have some big-time names available when it comes to wingers, as Mitch Marner, Brock Boeser, and Nikolaj Ehlers are all pending UFAs. Bruins legend Brad Marchand could also hit the market if he does not sign an extension with the Florida Panthers.

    Bruins' No. 3 Need: Top-Four, Right-Shot Defenseman

The Bruins have a massive hole on their blueline after trading Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the deadline. With this, they undoubtedly show be aggressively looking to bring in a top-four right-shot defenseman this summer. Their right side missed Carlo immensely down the stretch.

Unfortunately for the Bruins, there are not too many big-name right-shot defenseman who could hit the market on July 1 after Panthers blueliner Aaron Ekblad. Thus, if this is an area management tries to improve, they may need through a trade.
