In 39 games with Providence, the 25-year-old has posted a 25-8-5 record, a 2.05 goals-against average, and a .927 save percentage.
Now, because of how wonderfully DiPietro has played this season for Providence, he has been rewarded. The Windsor, Ontario native has been selected to the 2024-25 AHL First All-Star Team because of his remarkable season.
It is not too surprising to hear that DiPietro has been named to the AHL First All-Star Team. He has been nothing but consistent all season for Providence and demonstrated that he possesses good upside in the process.
DiPietro is a pending unrestricted free agent, but given how well he played this season for Providence, Boston would be wise to try to keep him around. The potential for him to blossom into an NHL backup is there.
Regardless of what happens with DiPietro this summer, the 2017 third-round pick deserves a ton of praise for his marvelous season with Providence. There is no question that he has earned this AHL First All-Star Team spot.
