These four teams are expected to target Jake DeBrusk on July 1.

With free agency just two days away, the Boston Bruins have not signed Jake DeBrusk to a new deal. This is expected to remain the case on July 1, as GM Don Sweeney said earlier this week that he expects No. 74 will hit the market. Sweeney also noted that he has not had productive talks with DeBrusk for a while now.

With DeBrusk's time in Boston likely coming to a close, he will receive many offers once July 1 is here. It is understandable, as he is an impactful scoring winger with multiple years left in his prime.

While on Oilers Now with Bob Stauffer, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that he has heard that the Seattle Kraken, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Nashville Predators are interested in DeBrusk.

Here is what Friedman said on the matter: "I've heard a few places. I've heard Seattle. I've heard the two Alberta teams. I've heard quite a few places. I've heard Nashville. There's a lot of teams looking for scoring out there."

Hearing that the Kraken have an interest in DeBrusk is not surprising. They need to improve their scoring if they hope to bounce back from their poor 2023-24 campaign and DeBrusk would give a big boost to their top six.

The Flames could be a strong landing spot for DeBrusk. While the Flames have parted ways with several players since last season, they are retooling and looking for younger, impactful players who will help them in the long term. DeBrusk fits that description.

The Oilers have long been rumored as a potential landing spot for DeBrusk. This is understandable, as he is an Edmonton native, and his father, Louie, is a former Oiler and current team analyst.

As for the Predators, they took an excellent step forward in their retool this past season, but there is still more work to be done if they hope to continue improving. Nashville could use a sniper like DeBrusk in their top six, so don't be surprised if they send him a big offer.
