Jim Montgomery rightfully wants more from his superstar forward.
The Boston Bruins are now in real danger of repeating last year's epic collapse. The Bruins put together another underwhelming performance against the Maple Leafs in Game 6, losing 2-1. Now, they will try to save their season by winning Game 7 at TD Garden.
Bruins superstar David Pastrnak kept his cold streak going against the Maple Leafs. For the second game in a row, No. 88 was not noticeable and held off the scoresheet. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery is clearly not happy with Pastrnak right now because of it, and he called him out publicly following the game.

"Your best players need to be your best players this time of year. I think the effort is tremendous. They need to come through with some big-time plays and some big-time moments. Marchand has done that in the series. Pasta needs to step up."
It's hard to disagree with Montgomery about that. After posting 47 goals and 110 points in 82 regular-season games this year, Pastrnak has been underwhelming during the playoffs. He has just two goals and two assists in six playoff games, and he has not been impactful in back-to-back elimination games. Will that change during Game 7? It better, or Boston could have another embarrassing end to their season.
