Jack Edwards was livid with Steve Kozari during Game 5.
The Boston Bruins made things far more difficult for themselves by dropping Game 5 at home. They will now try to end the series on the road in Game 6, which will be far from easy.
Bruins announcer Jack Edwards was far from a happy camper during this matchup, and this was especially the case when it came to Game 5 referee Steve Kozari.
Nearing the conclusion of the second period, Kozari penalized Charlie Coyle and Brad Marchand for roughing after a scrum. Joel Edmundson was the only player from the Toronto Maple Leafs who received a penalty from the scrum.
At the second-period buzzer, Charlie McAvoy wanted Kozari to explain why the Bruins were given an extra penalty on the play. In response, Kozari left the ice, which clearly angered Edwards.
"And Kozari is the first official to exit the ice. Coward!"
Before this, Kozari was seen barking at McAvoy and David Pastrnak after the penalties were initially called.
Late into the regular season, Edwards announced that he would be retiring at the end of the Bruins' campaign. Clearly, with his broadcasting days inching closer to an end, he is not holding back his true thoughts.
