It's safe to say that Linus Ullmark doesn't mind being the Bruins' backup right now.
The Boston Bruins religiously used their goalie tandem of Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark during the regular season. It was understandable, as Swayman and Ullmark have worked magnificently splitting starts for multiple seasons now. However, because of Swayman's remarkable play against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Bruins rolled with him for both Games 3 and 4, where Boston picked up two victories.
Ullmark, 30, experienced what it's like to be a backup for the Bruins as of late. Since he is a star, reporters naturally wondered how he felt about his decrease in starts. When asked about it, the reigning Vezina Trophy winner gave a hilarious response.
"There’s a reason why I’m here today, and it’s not being a sulky little crybaby about not playing or anything like that."
Ullmark then showed how wonderful of a teammate he is to Swayman and the rest of the B's by saying: "I try to stay professional, supporting the guys throughout the team, throughout the period here. Go out there every practice and be better, try to push people in the way that I can, obviously. And try to bring that energy, and try to do whatever I can when I’m off to the side as much as I try to do when I’m in the net.”

This just shows how professional of a player Ullmark is. Instead of being angry and becoming a distraction about being the club's backup, he is trying to help the team and is accepting of the situation.
Let's see if the Bruins give him the nod in Game 5 or continue to roll with the red-hot Swayman from here.
