The Boston Bruins fell to the St. Louis Blues in overtime by a 3-2 final score on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 16). While it was a close game and the Bruins secured a point, it would have been far worse if Joonas Korpisalo was not on his A-game.

The Bruins once again struggled to create many significant chances against the Blues. After St. Louis native Trent Frederic scored two first-period goals, the Bruins' offense completely went silent. In fact, they barely generated any shots in each period against St. Louis.

While the Bruins scored twice in the first period, they had only six shots. They followed that up with five shots in the second period and six shots in the third period. During overtime, they failed to record a single shot.

The Bruins have had serious trouble generating chances this season, and this latest contest against the Blues is only the latest example of this. There is no question that this is one of the many concerning trends from the Bruins so far this season.
