The Bruins have recalled two players from Providence.
The Boston Bruins have recalled forwards Georgii Merkulov and Riley Tufte from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins. In addition, Patrick Brown has been re-assigned to Providence.
Merkulov has undoubtedly earned this recall from the Bruins. The 24-year-old forward has had a strong start to the season with Providence, posting two goals and 11 points in 12 games. He also has seven points in his last five games.
Tufte, 26, played in two games earlier this season with Boston, where he had zero points, three hits, and a minus-1 rating. In six games with Providence this season, he has three goals, one assist, and 16 penalty minutes.
