The Boston Bruins have made their decision with this PTO addition.

At the start of training camp, the Boston Bruins signed goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo to a professional tryout (PTO) contract. With Jeremy Swayman being unsigned, it was understandable that the Bruins invited another goalie to training camp.
However, the Bruins have now made their decision with Kaskisuo.
The Bruins announced that Kaskisuo was released from his PTO. He will, however, be a participant at the Providence Bruins' training camp.
Kaskisuo, 30, will now look to impress with Providence. If he does, it could lead to him earning an AHL contract for the season.

Kaskisuo spent this past season with the Laval Rocket of the AHL, recording a 7-4-0 record, a .909 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.90 goals-against average (GAA). In addition, the 6-foot-3 netminder has made two career NHL appearances, posting a 0-1-0 record, an .854 SV%, and a 4.78 GAA.
