The Bruins have another big-name center who they could target this summer.

The Boston Bruins will aggressively look to add a top-six center to their roster this offseason. Now is the perfect time for them to, as they have roughly $21 million of cap space to work with.

Free agents like Elias Lindholm and Chandler Stephenson have been mentioned as potential targets. This makes sense, as both players would greatly improve the Bruins' roster. However, the Bruins also have another big-name center they must keep an eye on this offseason: Dallas Stars forward Matt Duchene.

After being bought out by the Nashville Predators last offseason, Duchene signed a one-year deal with the Stars. Ultimately, the move has benefitted both parties greatly, as Duchene has been excellent.

In 80 regular-season games, Duchene had 25 goals and 65 points. He also scored the double overtime winner to knock out the Colorado Avalanche - his former team - in the second round.

Adding a center like Duchene to the Bruins' top six would be massive, as he is still a very impactful player at this juncture of his career. He would create some real magic on a line with David Pastrnak. He also would give the Bruins' power play a significant upgrade.

Given how well Duchene has fit in with the Stars, it is likely that they will try to keep him around. However, if they cannot agree to a new deal, the Bruins should seriously consider targeting him on July 1.
