The 2023 NHL Trade Deadline is less than a week away, and the Boston Bruins are due for some moves. They have won only three out of their last 10 games and suffered their most embarrassing loss of the season last night (March 2) against the New York Islanders. As a result, they would benefit by making some additions.

One need that the Bruins could look to address before the deadline is adding another scoring winger. As a result, one player who should be on their radar leading up to March 8 is Ottawa Senators forward Vladimir Tarasenko.

Tarasenko, 32, is expected to be moved by the Senators, as they are out of the playoff race, and he is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA). With the Bruins' offense needing more firepower, he should grab their attention.

The Bruins would need to be creative to fit Tarasenko in financially, but if the Senators retain half of his $5 million salary and a third team jumps in, it is possible to get a deal done. He also has a full no-trade clause, but NHL insider David Pagnotta reported that he is willing to waive it to play for a contender.

Tarasenko has appeared in 57 games this season for the Senators, where he has 17 goals, 41 points, and a plus-13 rating. The Bruins could use that kind of production in their top six and on their power play, so it will be interesting to see if they make a big push for him from here.
