Before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, Boston Bruins winger David Pastrnak was playing some of the best hockey of his career. The superstar forward recorded points in 13 straight games before the break, where he had 11 goals and 26 points over that span.
Now, with the Bruins resuming their season, Pastrnak's goal will be to continue to dominate the NHL from here. He has the opportunity to extend his point streak to 14 games on Feb. 22 against the Anaheim Ducks.
The Bruins are entering a crucial part of the season. They currently trail the Detroit Red Wings by two points for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference and have played one more game than them. Thus, they need every point they can get right now, and Pastrnak staying dominant would only help with that.
It will be very fascinating to see if Pastrnak can continue his hot streak during this final portion of the season from here. The Bruins need him to continue carrying them if they hope to return to the post-season this spring.
