This Bruins rookie has reached a major milestone.

The Boston Bruins faced off against the Florida Panthers on Monday night (May 6) for Game 1 of the second round.

This matchup will always be remembered as a huge one for Bruins rookie defenseman Mason Lohrei. The Louisiana native hit a massive milestone, as he potted his first career playoff goal.

It was also an absolute beauty from Lohrei, as he sniped it perfectly past Panthers star goalie Sergei Bobrovsky's shoulder.

Due to his strong play this postseason, Lohrei has been given some big chances by the Bruins and is making his case for a permanent spot on their blueline. This latest goal from the Bruins' top rookie will only help his chances on that front.

Lohrei raised his value as a prospect over the last few years because of his offensive ability, and now we are starting to see it translate over to the NHL level. This is massive for the Bruins, and it will be fun to see what he does for an encore from here.
